A Sermon On Privacy

Chapter 16 of the 1st book of The Book of Satan states:

The Book of Satan I The True Philosophy of Satan wrote: Respect for privacy is essential for a free society. Satanists support the right to be let alone as it is part of our religious beliefs. The right to be let alone is a fundamental human right and an integral part of human dignity.

George Orwell’s book 1984 shows us what a world without privacy is like. In this world, totalitarianism reigned and there was no such thing as an individual. In this world, reality and history are a matter of opinion. You believe what Big Brother wants you to believe, if they show you four fingers and tell you it’s five, then you say it is five.

It’s all about the control of people’s minds. Because there is no privacy, tyrants control information to such an extent that facts and reality become what they want it to be. Everything is controlled by the party, and they see everything, Big Brother is watching you, even when you sleep.

Is this such a futuristic concept? This is exactly what was like in the dark ages under Papal rule. They controlled information and hindered the advancement of science. People believed what they were told to believe.

In many places in the world, it is still like this today. The UAE is ruled by a theocracy, and in these countries, the government knows everything about its citizens, which have no rights. This has made it near impossible for people to escape this oppression and flee to other countries.

In a world without privacy, western civilization will die. They know everything about you, all of your movements are constantly tracked. All of your information can be used against you as soon as you turn against the system.

In Orwell’s book, privacy is non-existent, and even children are sent to spy on adults and turn them in if they notice suspicious behavior. This is a world where rules and order is valued over justice and accountability. It is a place where leaders have absolute control over the masses.

People give themselves up to absolute power because they think it’s going to protect them against outside threats. That is why they need to look to a leader or some kind of authority figure. It’s just easier to let someone else take responsibility so that you can relax for once and feel safe in the herd.

For example, I live in South Africa, which has some of the most violent crimes in the world. Did placing a security camera on every street corner and in every house and business lower crime? No, of course not, people are still getting raped, murdered, etc.

Chapter 2 elaborates:

The Book of Satan I The True Philosophy of Satan wrote: Privacy is important to the safety and security of an individual and their freedom. Anyone who aims to violate your privacy by monitoring your behavior through the means of surveillance (Big Brother) has sinister intentions.

Maybe crime was just a convenient excuse to coax people into giving up their privacy. Have you ever just sat down to think what it would be like to live in a world where every conversation and all of your movements are recorded? Maybe you should sit down and really think about what this kind of future will be like. Is this a world that you want to live in?

Those who want to lay hold of your freedom will say “If you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to fear”. Does privacy automatically mean that you are someone with something to hide? No, but it should be your choice if you don’t want to share certain information with the public. Why should people be subjected to constant and intense scrutiny when they are just minding their own business?

Did you know that computer programs have already been developed that can see what people are dreaming when they are asleep? Can you imagine what will happen if this technology falls into the wrong hands? Will there be any place left in the world where you can be let alone? Think about these things when you attack the Book of Satan.

Of course, this technology is only in its infancy now, but so was the internet 30 years ago. Prevention is better than cure, and you have the power to stand up for your rights now. Unless you thought about it and you don’t see a problem with living in a world where there is no privacy.

Is it far-fetched to think that one day a microchip will be developed and forced on every citizen? If someone steps out of line, this microchip could alert the authorities or even worse, kill them. Scientists have already implanted microchips like this into the brains of mice, and these chips regulate their emotions.

A world without privacy is a world where the authorities can do whatever they want to the citizens, without having to fear accountability. Why? Because they control all of your information, and so they have power over everything you do. They know everything about you and can manipulate you on even the most basic level.

What does it mean when an entire country gives up its rights? It means they have become slaves, they have placed their lives in the hands of one man. Without privacy, there is no way to take that freedom back. Because when all your info is owned by them it is near impossible to start a successful rebellion against the tyrants.

Are you free to choose what God you want to serve? Yes, you are. You can serve Jesus, you can serve Allah, some people even say that Hitler is their God. Well just remember that when you give up all of your freedoms, the government becomes your God and they are going to tell you who you can believe in, and who you can’t.

Take a visit to Dubai and try to hand out some religious pamphlets that may not exactly agree with the views of Islam, see what happens. I am sure it will be an eye-opening experience for you.

Privacy is a core tenet of the true philosophy of Satan. It’s more than just civil liberty, it is more than a human right. It is your religious conviction too.
