Andras: Noble Avenger Indomitable and Deadly God of War

“Defeat is not in my warriors creed: I conquer. Death before dishonour. I believe where others doubt. I leave no friend nor enemy behind. Weakness is not known to me. When I arrive to battle, I do so violently. I stand with courage in the face of evil. I champion freedom and justice, law and order. There are none who can defy me, none who can deny me. No one will dictate to me who and what I am or can become. I write my own legacy. I am the agent of chaos, the storm, the unstoppable force. I will never surrender. I am the indomitable one. I am the God of War.”

In Satanism one walks alone, which is about taking personal responsibility for ones self. This is the way of the warrior. The warrior walks alone, doing his 100% and then some. This path is not for followers, its for people who look to themselves to lead....others can give you advice, but ultimately its up to you. This is the path Andras teaches.

Andras is a martial or patriarchal God.

Andras symbolizes all that is within the masculine purview – such as fatherhood, family, security, order, provision, action, protection, energy, strength, control, combat and strategy.

He exemplifies the ultimate alpha male – the very essence of maleness itself – and thus one of the symbols of the God Mars (Andras) is also recognized as the symbol of the male gender and of the planet Mars, or Star of Ares. Another symbol for Andras is the rune Tiwaz (norse) meaning victory, honor.

Homeric Hymn to Ares (Andras)

The following translation, by Evelyn-White, is in the public domain:

“Ares, exceeding in strength, chariot-rider, golden-helmed, doughty in heart, shield-bearer, Saviour of cities, harnessed in bronze, strong of arm, unwearying, mighty with the spear, O defence of Olympus, father of warlike Victory, ally of Themis, stern governor of the rebellious, leader of righteous men, sceptres King of manliness, who whirl your fiery sphere among the planets in their sevenfold courses through the aether wherein your blazing steeds ever bear you above the third firmament of heaven; hear me, helper of men, giver of dauntless youth! Shed down a kindly ray from above upon my life, and strength of war, that I may be able to drive away bitter cowardice from my head and crush down the deceitful impulses of my soul. Restrain also the keen fury of my heart which provokes me to tread the ways of blood-curdling strife. Rather, O blessed one, give you me boldness to abide within the harmless laws of peace, avoiding strife and hatred and the violent fiends of death.”

Andras is Lord of the Crossroads – that region that exists betwixt and between, that represents liminality (from the latin limen meaning threshold), a place literally neither here nor there. Andras is known as an Opener of the Ways – this is what it means....to enter the crossroads.....traverse the boundary's between dimensions, reveal truths hidden behind the veil. He opens the way to other dimensions including the realms of the dead. He is a messenger who communicates with and commands the spirits of the dead.

Master of black and white magic, possessed of prophetic powers, He is an instrument of chaos, sudden and devastating transformation and change. Cry havok! Let slip the dogs of war!

Of the planets associated with Andras the one most commonly known would be Mars. Because of its red color it's known as the fiery planet. Mars is associated with War of course, however it also contains the ability to confront life and death issues. Mars is associated with the astrology of Aries and Scorpio. One connected to spring, the other to fall. Making Mars relevant to cycles of birth/death/ transformation/rebirth/shedding the old and people/situations/things that are no longer of service. Transformation has much to do with being honest with oneself, confronting the dark within. Andras is very honest; brutally honest.

Andras is known as a Demon of the night, symbolizing the satanic principle which states that only by passing through darkness is it possible to reach the light. Darkness is merely the opposite face of light. They are joined, like male and female; neither is evil. The notion that darkness connotes evil is an invented concept the enemy created and foisted upon humanity through the monotheistic religions.

The truth is everything exists in duality. Up and down, cold and heat, darkness and light, yin and yang. As much as Andras is associated with the darkness, He is actually connected to and very much of the light, as well. He embodies both aspects.

Seeking and finding Truth can mean going to some very dark places. These can be external, but also refers to the darkness within, as we struggle to purify/enhance/strengthen our souls. The stage of the nigredo (blackness) during the magnum opus is associated with this inner work, the decomposition and dissolution of the old self, which is the realm of Andras, symbolized by the raven.

He treads where others fear to go. He doesn't fear that which exists either within or without. He faces issues, enters, conquers, demands the same of others. He exhorts: pass through the darkness, face your dark side, overcome it. Train the mind and the body will follow. He brings with Him restoration and release from false beliefs, patterns, stuck paradigms.

He is attention and detail orientated. He strives always to be the best of the best and settles for no less.

Mars is the vital force, the spark, creativity, battle, blood, but the higher octave of Mars is Pluto. Ruler of the underworld and the dead, symbolizing transformation, strength, occult power, deep dark transformation from the inside out; all in Andras's purview.

The moon is associated with madness (lunacy) and lycanthropy (transformation) but also, a light in the darkness, spiritual growth, intuition and journeys (both inner and outer) that lead to the emergence of understanding. There is also a time when the moon is black, which is void, or of the darkness. This corresponds to what Andras teaches: Face the dark; move through it to light/spiritual healing. He teaches to have no fear, a cornerstone of the Satanic tenet.

He is a protector and champion of natural law, the natural world. He rules over legal decisions and principles of justice in the courts and in war. His wrath is like the storm, a hurricane. His justice arrives suddenly, violently and with the force of the lightning.

Andras can show the most pleasant of faces and like nature, can also show a pitiless and brutal aspect. This is reality and this is the God. In His world there is no such thing as political correctness and bubble wrap. He says things as they are, not as people would wish them to be. He is reality based, not emotionally based. He can be perceived as callous and hard, due to this uncompromising stance. But there is a softer side to Him as well. He is a fantastic partner and friend, one who will never abandon you. His love is fierce and deep as is his hate. He is a passionate and dedicated man, an attentive lover, a fierce protector.

Being the God of War (and paradoxically of peace, as in peace through strength), one might have the assumption that Andras is just a big, dim hunk of muscle swinging a sword, a kind of dumb jock. Nothing is farther from the truth! He's highly intellectual, a true renaissance man possessed of a most finely honed sense of aesthetics; anything that has to do with the arm of philosophy dealing with the nature of beauty, taste, as well as the philosophy of art, He is well versed and rounded in. He possesses a keen inquiring mind, sometimes terrifyingly practical. Hes pragmatic. Hes learned and accomplished.

He's an artist. He works in natural materials like wood, stone and metal. He's a painter, sculptor and plays several instruments, such as the fipple flute, syrinx (pan pipes), lyre, kithara, guitar, gong and drum. He enjoys rock, country, celtic, metal as well as classical music. If He was a musician here on Earth playing in a rock band, He'd definitely be the front man.

He's a God who is master of grammar, rhetoric, logic, music, arithmetic, astronomy and geometry. It's through these last three sciences that man gains understanding of movements of the planets, cycles of the seasons, of the soul and of the great architecture of the universe.

Andras is sassy, sarcastic, caustic. Not in a spiteful way, you understand. At least, I didn't find Him so – though I imagine He certainly could be. What I mean is, He's very quick, mentally. As in you can't catch him flat footed without a verbal comeback (or something even more direct – like a fist).

The Knight of Swords traditionally is the strong right arm of the King; In this case Satan (King of this world) – and so this is indeed, a natural placement for Andras in His role as one of Satan's security team, an elite corps of warriors, Demonic equivalent of Delta Force. The best of the best. He has been associated with other Tarot cards in the past; 10 of rods symbolizing hearth, home, family and manifestation which of course reflect Him however, during the creation of the Satanic Tarot I had to ask many of the Demons if I could move them around in order to fill out the deck placements; I asked Andras where can I place you? I did not choose Knight of Swords for Him, He chose this position.

He was honoured by the Spartans, another legendary group of warriors.

He is a master of astral transformation.

While a spirit of devastation to His enemies; to His friends He brings release and transformation. If you are noble of heart, you have nothing to fear from Him. His wings are black, He appears with sword in hand. He governs 87 legions of Spirits. He can assist in initiating resolution between opposing forces – usually by bringing the situation to a determination through the initiation of direct confrontation.

He should be approached with respect as He is proud and can be mercurial.

Andras as experienced by other Satanists

The following is translated from the Italian by others who have experienced Him – many thanks to my translator – you know who you are.

Andras is an ancient God, known for His great Valour in battle and His determination in fighting for the Satanic Cause. He is very loyal to Satan. He perfectly embodies the ideals of Justice and He always stood out for His courage and his firmness. The first thing you associate Andras with, as soon as you know Him, is Strength, in every sense.

Andras is physical, mental and spiritual strength; the strength in its always intense and contrasting shades, like the Nature generating Force of creation and like the force of fire, of death, of destruction. The first impression that one has about Andras when one first meets Him, is that He is an austere God, silent, almost dangerous.

In fact this is a very important side of Andras, He is very selective in choosing His protected ones and when He does it, be assured that He will be strict with you, He doesn't give discounts, He doesn't sweeten the pill and especially, He doesn't give anything that you can achieve alone.

But it's also true that whoever is able to enter the graces of this Noble God, should surely feel honoured and proud of him/herself because they will have a special Guardian to say the least, that will turn him/her into a true Spiritual Warrior, a complete Satanist under every aspect.

The Gods can see inside the Souls of people, so for a God it is not hard to know if inside a dedicated person is hidden a true Satanist destined/determined to grow and to never give up to obstacles.

A lot are those who start at 1000 and then, at the first obstacles they give up, disowning their ideals and Satan Himself.

Obviously this is something normal, the natural selection in Satanism has always been there and always will be, but it's normal for the Gods, seeing one of Their children giving up after having recognized a certain important truth, as if Their gifts didn't meant anything, is a great great disappointment.

If there are more diplomatic and understanding Guardian Gods, the same couldn't be said of Andras who is very attentive about values like coherence, determination, loyalty. When Andras chooses a protected one, He doesn't do it based on his/her preparation or mediumistic gifts; these are things that can be achieved in time with consistency and will. What brings Andras to trust a human is the nobility of mind [nobility of soul, spirit], his/her pure intentions without hidden agendas.

Andras wants ones who are really motivated and that embrace in a convinced way, and not a hypocrite way, Satanic ideals, without giving up at the first obstacle. What Andras looks for in His protected ones is true strength that will manifest in a long lasting resistance and determination rather than in the initial potency.

Whoever is guided by Andras in his/her spiritual path, is destined to become a Great Warrior able to fight for what he/she believes in, without falling in the banality of violence and vileness. Andras is, in primis, a Noble and kind God and surely doesn't appreciate people that reduce the concept of Strength to the mere destructive violence that ends in itself. So I remind whoever wants to try approach Andras, to be very respectful and very pure hearted, because to approach Him with hidden agendas or with power cravings, I assure you, it will not be good for you.

It's better to not play with this God and if there's anything that He detests it is false Satanists, sneaky and climber people. Another reason why I discourage you to contact Andras is if you are lazy and pliable. Andras does not forgive weakness and if He has to be strict or challenge you in order to teach you something, be assured, He will do it. He perfectly embodies the Satanic principle "only going through the Darkness it can be possible to reach the Light". He doesn't fear the Darkness, He goes into it everyday, fighting, and He demands the same Strength and courage from His Protected ones.

I don't want to further frighten you, because if you are true and honest, you don't have reason to fear Andras. Instead, for one is really busy [devoted] to the cause of justice who face this spiritual path seriously, Andras is your best ally.

At times He can seem very cold and not loving, but in reality I feel that often, being strict maybe is more difficult for Him. I have gone through days terribly sad, because maybe He showed me His disdain for my mistakes, or there were days in which I was discomforted and exhausted for the continuous harassment that I received for my exposing myself for the cause, days so heavy [hard] that I would have wanted to give everything up and think only about myself and He lectured me, inciting me to be strong and not fall for weakness. Well, in those moments I felt almost offended, I would have wanted to make a tantrum like a child, demanding a bit of affection, protection, esteem for what however I already tried to do. Nothing.

But then, in those same days, when I was going to sleep and I was about to fall asleep, I felt His presence, more kind, more tender and understanding, and I understood that He loved me and appreciated my efforts. This short story is for making you understand that the Gods, especially Andras, understand our efforts and our difficulties...

But if they would lull us and protect us from everything everytime, we wouldn't grow up. The left hand path is not a simple way. The road that leads to authentic Truth and Light is insidious, complicated and exhausting. But if we really want to reach it, we have to walk it independently and resolutely.

Andras, in His often demanding ways, is helping me a lot and I'll never be enough grateful to Him.

He, as others also say, is a God of forests and I can confirm this because, often, when He appears in the astral, in dreams or in visions during a trance, He leads me to forest places, an image that often comes up when He has to give me a message, is a vision of some branches that stands out in the sky, seen from below. I see the sun that filters through the virescent leaves and I have the impression that everything is rotating. At that point I hear His voice.

Andras is also a God of Art, being much passionate He inspired me some drawings and poems that often they revealed themselves to be real messages, especially when I experimented with the automatism. And so [with this method], with a particular poem that I guard jealously, and that I didn't even know that I wrote it (ever that I really did it), He revealed to be my Guardian, signing Himself with five [in english are 4] words that I will never forget: Your arch [tenacious, bitter] protector, Andras

When I read it I was between being euphoric, surprised and touched. I struggled to interpret the rest of the poem, it was written with terms and syntax uncommon to me, but my happiness was however indescribable.

Andras is a very interesting God, that loves Art, battles, women and animals, He usually protects the most fragile creatures, He deeply hates injustices and punishes them in a severe way. He is a God that believes in the ancient values that unfortunately humanity has lost, but that His protected ones, thanks to His wise teachings, can recover and make them theirs. A lot are the ones that say Andras is their Guardian but very few are the ones that really have Him by their side. I can only say that the few ones that I know for sure they've been accepted by Andras, are all serious Satanists, motivated and really embrace the cause because they believe in it and don't hope to gain something from it.

Andras is an infinitely Noble God and only every bit as Noble people can be by His side. Honor to this splendid God, that has always protected, spurred me on and taught me to fight for the cause with all Himself.

Andras has a very powerful energy, it hits you like a flame, almost suddenly, without warning. The avatar with which I've always seen this deity is tall, slender, dark hair and light colored eyes (greyish), but I've also seen Him in non humanoid shapes.

A characteristic of Andras is of showing Himself only when He has a true reason, a specific purpose that He wants you to reach. He is not affectionate, one has not to expect that He will resolve your problems or that He will be indulgent. He spurs you, sometimes hardly, He makes feel His presence but maybe He does not speak to you or doesn't show Himself, almost leaving you with the doubt if He really is there.

Sometimes He gives the impression of punishing you, but yet, after you overcame the limit that He wanted to show you and to overcome, the only thing you can do is thank Him with all of your heart, because you recognize how much He did for you. If you succeed He can reward you with emotions and visions of great Art, where His artistic side that few know takes over.

For the low of my experience, I do not hesitate to affirm that the non human emotions that He gifts you are very unique and unmatchable for beauty and uniqueness. In dreams He can take the shape of a wolf or black dog, raven/crow] (this is what I've leaned from my experience but it's not for sure that He cannot takes other shapes). I care to underline that He is not a God to approach without the right respect or that He always answers to every help request and it's in doubt that it's dangerous to bother Him for too long for it's right to fear Him. If one isn't Satanist or not ready to meet Him: it's Him to choose how and when to show Himself. His cruel side exists, for so He is a God to approach if pushed by very serious motivations and from the depth of the heart. He does not appreciate the use of magic, especially black magic for frivolous or shallow reasons. Using these ways to obtain the desired end is not an attitude that He likes.

More on Andras by HPS ZolaLuckyStar:

My own experience with Andras is that He isn't always around, isn't one to babysit or coddle. He's no chatterbox. He most certainly isn't going to be like: “I'm so thrilled to be your Guardian Demon!” He isn't the one to be honoured by an association, WE are. For sure. He is simply there. Or not. Unlike what the above person writes, I have experienced Him to be deeply caring. He is capable of great affection. I think the sides of Himself that He shows, like all of us, depends on how close one is to Him. He's maybe going to show more of that softer nature of caring to a woman, while to a man He will be less forgiving.

He doesn't like everybody. He's just like Sorath in this respect, though He's not (quite) as aloof seeming. I understand this as I feel the same way. Respect and friendship is earned, not handed out like candy's.

I don't see Him with dark hair though. I see Him with pale, straight hair, very long, to His waist.

He has a delicious sense of humour. He's quick witted with a dry sense of humour. He's an extrovert and can be very flashy. His tongue is like a sword, in the sense that He'll always get in the last word. In a battle of wits and fast comebacks, Andras will rule. He has great personal magnetism. But oh yes, He can also be very austere, serious and deadly. I've seen that forbidding look directed at me by Him once ...He's baleful when He's like that. That's actually a funny tale, maybe I'll tell it sometime :)

I think like the person above said, many want to claim Him as their GD. But HE does the choosing. Writing this I can hear Him laugh and say:

“Of COURSE they want me! How could they not?”

He does indeed love art, battle, women (He loves the ladies) and animals. He is as skilled in the arts of Love, as of War. He considers lovemaking an art form. He considers His body as another form of art. He's extremely good looking and He can dress to impress with the best.

He is Lord of The Forests, the natural world. The character Thranduil in the trilogy lord of the rings is based on Him (Andras let me know this). The author didn't do this consciously, mind you. But the character Thranduil was Lord of the Forest. Andras is the REAL Lord of The Forest.

“An image that often comes up when He has to give me a message, is a vision of some branches that stands out in the sky, seen from below, I see the sun that filters through the virescent leaves and I have the impression that everything is rotating. At that point I hear His voice”.

I confirm this is true as it has happened for me as well:

I was in a yoga class. It was about an hour and a half long and then we all lay down for savassanah. When suddenly and without warning ...I was clutched with a great sensation of sorrow and loss. I missed Andras so terribly! (He's been my Guardian in my past lives – I've seen Him in person a long time ago - and right then I wanted Him that way again – in person - loved him so much and missed Him so bad it hurt like a physical pain)

“Oh Andras,” I sent to Him: “I miss you so much! Will I ever see you again?”

Then burst into silent tears, laying there with my right arm out flung kind of off over my head. Knowing what I know now about Him, that He is an opener of the ways who can communicate with and command spirits of the dead – I find it interesting that I was laying in corpse pose when the following happened:

Next moment, I'm literally somewhere else. The yoga studio is gone. I'm laying on my back in deep grass, under a big old tree, branches spread across a sky of blue, sun shining through them and dappling the earth around me. I can smell the damp, the earth, the grass, hear wind in the leaves. Hear them rustling. This vision is so strong ...it feels completely real. As though I've been teleported. I realize a man sits to my right, crosslegged beside me in the grass, in my peripheral vision. He reaches out with His left hand, takes my right hand. I feel that grip! It's so real! As real as a real living persons! So strong! Gently, but firmly He takes my hand with His, gives it a squeeze as He says:

“You WILL see me again. That's a promise.”

His voice is a medium baritone. Very manly, not too deep or too high.

I blinked my eyes for the tears, and just like that, was back. Back on the yoga mat, as we were being led through the coming back to the body procedure.

The name Dyeus which evolved into Tyr (Andras) are variations of the root dyeu , meaning the daytime sky. Knowing this it makes sense then, that people have experienced Him thus ...a vision of the branches of trees set against the daytime sky.

The modern English words for day and deity come from this same root word. Andras is a Sky God, like His father, Enlil, who is God of all that flies. The Roman Jupiter (another name for Enlil) comes from Dyeus Phater meaning Sky Father (Father of Andras).

I once endured a public bullying/shaming ritual online in front of about 30-50 thousand people. I say ritual because I was not the first nor the last to experience this abuse. And while I was suffering, drowning in the dark ..my Guardian Demons (and Satan) were nowhere to be found.

I was left completely alone for ...oh ..several months. Left to my own devices while I passed through the darkness. Eventually I reached the other side, emerging into the light through the resolution that I refuse to lay down and die; that whatever happens ...doesn't matter. Nobody gets to dictate who or what I am, my personal worth/my relationship to the Gods/Demons, most especially to Satan. I acted from the best of intentions, my heart is pure ...conscience clean ...my work true ...jealous, petty little know nothings/do nothings; idiots full of spite, envy and venom ...their opinions mean absolutely nothing. They are dross projecting what they are onto others.

When I reached that place, felt the burden lifting from my shoulders, THEN my Guardian Demons and Satan returned. They left me alone because this was my personal journey.

There are some things nobody can do for us – like finding our own road through the dark places of the soul. We do the work to advance our own souls and they know this. Love us as they may, they cannot and will not do that work for us. This is a harsh lesson to learn, because you feel terribly alone and abandoned. But necessary. You may feel abandoned and yet ...it takes a special kind of love to allow a person to find their own way, learn to stand on their own two feet, without interfering/pampering or hand holding.

Andras (nor Sorath) is no hand holder. Though ...there are times when they will give me a shoulder (to cry on).

Satan, Enlil and Andras are all Gods of War. Enlil is involved in the brute physical combat, Satan in the magical and psychological forces, Andras in the legal decisions and principles of justice surrounding war (the judgement of arms).

Combat between armies can also translate to legal duels in court. The sword replaced by the tongue. Law – or the decision obtained between two opposing forces secured by precise rules - is used to gain victory. Andras penetrates to the heart of any situation like an arrow from the bow. If you should find yourself in a legal (or other) situation where you require justice, He is a good God to ask for help.

Right after I'd Dedicated to Satan, I'd scanned the lists of the Demons and Two Demons really stood out for me. The first one was Andras, the second Sorath. As soon as I saw Andras's description I felt I 'got' Him. I decided to make a Portrait of Him (for my own pleasure). I asked Him to please let me know ...send me some ideas how you look ...woke up with a solid image in my head. I knew exactly what reference He was showing me.

When the digital painting version was completed set about translating that onto a large canvas (Andras spent two years before I dedicated to Satan trying to get my attention, throwing me hints, things to get me thinking about Him. He let me know this after I was dedicated. He was the one who led me to Satan). So, working one night on this, alone ...by this time it's the dead of night, like ...3:00 AM ...I'd taped a sword to the canvas (paper one obviously) so I could kind of get an idea what it might look like, then retreated across the room to the steps where I sat and studied the effect.

Felt a male - very distinctive and strong energy signature - enter and study the canvas with me. After a few moments of the both of us studying the painting in progress in silence I felt/'heard' a telepathic voice in my head. The mans voice said to me:

“Zola ...you know I was in Egypt, right?”

“Yeah ...so?”

“So ...WHY do you have me holding an 18th century english longsword?”

This observation was followed by the unmistakable feeling of laughter. My face was red as I snatched the paper sword off the canvas, the whole time to the sound of His laughter. I had to laugh as well.

Andras very casually informed me once that His gift is the Madness. Meaning He taps into the beserker when He fights. Where fear, pain and the notion of giving up is non existent. He's a very bad enemy to have. It's no wonder He's described as the most dangerous to the enemy, why He's known to destroy Mages who have tried to summon Him. If you are wise, you won't mess with Him. Hes very proud and with good reason! Among the Gods, He's the Best of the Best in the Art of War. He's the God of War. Thats no small achievement! As He said once:

“We ain't no two-bit Gods, you know” (referring to Himself and Sorath – they are good friends, cousins who work together).

Many people mistakenly believe that in order to be strong, one must shut off ones emotions, not allow oneself to feel in order to fight effectively but Andras teaches that actually, its the opposite.

Your emotions make you stronger, not weaker. This is the essence of what makes Him the deadliest of the Gods when it comes to the enemy ...He is known for this ...because He cares. He has a big heart with strong emotions and this gives Him the passion, the drive, the HATE that is necessary to drive on despite any and all opposition, like the chariot.

When you couple this with the fact He's a world class warrior and mixed martial artist ...as well as a swordsman ...He's just ...absolutely deadly. At the same time He's a very caring loving Being. And that is NOT a weakness.

His passion allows Him to bend yet never break. That's the enemy's mistake, they cynically exploit our emotions for their own ends. They can't understand what it is to love or care as they have no empathy. Their mistake because, when people figure out how they've been so cynically manipulated its going to boomerang on them, big time.

Andras loves as fiercely as he hates. His is a body of death and He's not afraid to use it. The beauty of His heart and Soul is reflected in His physical perfection. He's tall, slender, ripped. He has a dancers body, not bulky like a weightlifters. So He's very strong, flexible. He's extremely elegant when He's dressed up in formal wear. Very polished. He considers His body to be one of His artworks; that is, He looks after Himself. He's tall ...I'm almost 6 feet and I had to look up at Him ...the top of my head barely reaching the top of his shoulder. He's not a giant, but He's a tall man for sure, in perfect proportion.

I've seen Him wearing black breeches, no shirt, dark leather gauntlets on His forearms, fingerless gloves, sword slung at His side, black army kind of combat boots, a working, practical kind of outfit. He was with His hellhounds that time and they appeared to be giant (dire) wolves. Terrifying creatures I would be very frightened of if I were encountering them alone as each is practically the size of a horse but, when you meet them in His company you feel secure knowing He'd not let them attack you (assuming you are an ally).

I've seen Him in stunning, elegant formal clothing from the 18th century. He wears many different types of clothing and styles from different eras.

Andras sees what is unjust, in need of correction (Justice) and possesses the will to do it. He takes action. He embodies passion and action, combined with the will to always carry on, never give up.

I asked once (in terms of my learning curve painting portraits, working on the Satanic Tarot – as I struggled to improve – I was feeling incredibly frustrated and angry - feeling like I was trying to scale mt everest) in exasperation:

“Where does it end?!?”

Andras immediately responded:

“It goes until you become the Best of the Best. You're a Satanist. You must lead by example.”

Andras counsels us always to keep struggling. If you fall down, no matter. Get up again. It's not so much the falling down; that happens to us all. Just get back up. The difference between those who fall down and the ones who succeed is that the ones who refuse to surrender  ...who fail yet possess the initiative and will to soldier on ...are the true warriors, the real winners. Its not just about physical strength. It's mental strength. These are the people Andras gravitates to. The ones He will honor by Guiding. He doesn't take many.

If He's looking out for you, feel honoured. He's a stately God. He would never be doing one of the enemy any 'favors'. I heard someone once claim how after they summoned Him, He didn't want to leave, wanted to stick around and chat and I can say that's nonsense. He's a busy God!

He pushes you to be the best of the best. And sometimes, when you really think you need Him, He'll not be there. He'll leave you to suffer in that dark alone. Knowing you'll come out the other end stronger. He's done this to me/for me.

He doesn't do this to be cruel. He understands sometimes nobody can help us but us – there are some things one has to face on ones own, and the best thing to do – and the hardest – is to leave them alone to do it. Facing the dark within is harsh. He knows. He faces the dark all the time. But...I know with total confidence ...if someone was seriously after me, a physical threat to my life ...when I truly need Him, Andras won't hesitate. He's done this. A certain person made the acquaintance of Andras. And that cretin has now vanished ...like he never existed.

Andras teaches to persevere against all odds. If everybody says no, Andras says YES.

Lucid encounter with Andras in the astral:

Wearing a gown from the 18th century, sitting in a courtyard of stone, on the top of some stairs. It was late afternoon, fine weather, no wind, blue sky. A beautiful day, watching a wedding party gathered around the couple, taking photos and so on, lots of laughter and fun, having a lovely time of it.

I'm sitting alone at the top of a short flight of stone steps a little way across from them. Close enough to hear and see but not close enough to be a part of the group, just relaxing, enjoying watching them celebrate when a man catches my attention. He's gliding purposefully towards me across the lower courtyard, threading through the crowd of revellers, eyes never leaving mine. He's staring me down the entire way as He approaches. Not in a threatening or negative way. Just very focussed, very intent. As though he knows me?

I stare back at Him, transfixed, watching Him glide closer and closer and the whole time I'm wondering:

Why is He so familiar? He's like a stooping raven, all focus and grace locked on his target (me).

He's richly dressed, in 18th century like one would see in the Courts of France. Black silk damask with gold embroidered jacket, waistcoat, shirt with a cravat in cream silk. Long beautiful pale hair, like moonlight. His face ...He has not broken eye contact ...completely focussed on me. His eyes are so intense, so ...hard to look away from. He is very ...VERY handsome. Tall and lithe, like a dancer. All muscle. To me He's the most beautiful man in the world come to life.

He approaches, lowers himself gracefully to the step beside me on my left, staring into my eyes the entire time.

I look suddenly away, feeling embarrassed, awkward – am I offending this Great Lord, this Marquis, staring at Him so? Because He's obviously a Nobleman. I can't look at Him. I can feel my cheeks getting hot. He stoops towards me in a whisper of silks, long hair brushing my bare shoulder, His voice a rich medium baritone in the cup of my ear, saying:

“Can you feel it?”

“Feel it?” I echo. Thinking ...am I feeling turned on? Hell yeah! But I don't think thats what He meant. What does He mean?

“Yes. Can you?”

I stand up abruptly, take a few steps away from him – He's so ...intense. What am I supposed to do? Who is this guy, anyway? And why is He so focussed on ME? He's making me really nervous!

The atmosphere feels...electric. Charged. Like a storm is coming. Stepping down pale stone into the courtyard (the wedding party has departed while I was distracted; we have the place to ourselves) I suddenly feel it!

A swift cool breeze, carrying with it the clean green scent of growing things, that fresh early morning smell, of pine needles, earth and rain, the perfume of the forest, cool, crisp and fresh. It's such an amazingly beautiful smell, one I've always loved, the essence of life. I spread my arms, turning into the wind, allowing it to bathe me as I cry:

“Yes! I do! It feels ...wonderful!”

He has followed me up onto His feet and down the steps without me even realizing it; when I turn to the breeze, He's right before me, right there. He takes my hand with his saying:

“Come with me”

He leads me swiftly off, across the plaza. I'm happy to go. It feels like the most natural thing in the world to let Him have my hand and trust as He leads me, I know not where, down more pale stone steps, out into a fresh sunshiny flowery meadow with dancing lacewings, towards a forest green beyond, then on into it. Wherever we are going, I don't care, so long as I'm with Him. Which is when I recognize Him and realize ...of course I know Him...how did I not before? I exclaimed:

“Andras!”

He smiled and led on, into the forest.

We walked for a while till we arrived at a mansion in the woods, and entered within.

That image of Him approaching me was engraved in my minds eye when I woke up – even now, if I close my eyes, I can see it - the way He was staring at me and so, I made a Portrait of Him like that.

In Egypt, Andras was known as Wepwawet. Andras told me:

“You know I was in Egypt, right?”

He also said:

“I'm no minor God. I'm actually pretty high ranking.”

Kinda an understatement since Andras is the son of Zeus; the God also known as Enlil/Jupiter/Dias

Enlil is the one who takes care of punishing the Satanists who attack each other. He's a martial God, a God who is also about justice, exactly like Andras ...Enlil is the one who represents for the Tower - forceful drastic change ...which is also totally Andras. So, when I found out He's Andras's Father I had to laugh out loud. Like father, like son. Zeus is infamous for His love of the ladies ...His erotic escapades ...Andras takes after His father in the sense that He too, is very sexual. He also loves the ladies. He considers making love an art, like making war.

“In late Egyptian Mythology, Wepwawet was originally considered a war deity whose name means 'opener of the ways'. He is often Anubis's opposite, linked with both werewolves and military success. He is often depicted as a wolf headed entity standing at the prow of the Sun God Ra's solar boat. In such a position and with such a name, Wepwawet was also seen as a scout, going out to clear routes for the army of Egypt to proceed forward.

One inscription found in the Sinai states that Wepwawet 'opens the way' to Pharaoh Sekhemkhets victory. Wepwawet was originally seen as a wolf deity, thus the Greek name of Lycopolis, the city where his temple resided and which meant 'city of wolves'.

Wepwawet was said to accompany the Pharaoh on hunts, armed with sharp arrows more powerful than the Gods alone. Over time, the connection to war and thus to death, led to Wepwawet also being seen as one who opened the ways to, and through, Duat, for the spirits of the dead.”

Through this, and the similarity of the jackal to the wolf, Wepwawet became associated with Anubis, a deity that was worshipped in Asyut, eventually coming to be believed by some to be considered as His son (Anubis and Set are actually the same God).

However, being associated with, and being the literal son of Set are two different things. Andras was closely associated with Set as Set had the jackals head ...and they were both in Egypt. But Andras is the wolf. And while they are similar in that respect (the two animals resemble one another), they aren't father/son. They're cousins! Andras, being a God of War, is also a God of Death and Darkness. Like Set. They have similar things going on.

Others have described Andras as having dark hair and grey eyes. This is one of His aspects. These Demons/Gods, being energy beings can change their appearance as they please, with a thought, after all. Andras can manifest as the storm, in dark aspect; dark hair and grey eyes ...then be like the sunny day – pale gold hair, blue/green eyes. Both aspects are true.

The deity (Wepwawet/Andras) appears in the temple of Seti I at Abydos. The name 'Seti' means "of Set", which indicates – again - that Seti I was consecrated to the God Set. Here again we see Andras has some kind of association to Set/Anubis. Well, they're relatives, related to one another. But His son? No.

“Seti was a Pharaoh of the New Kingdom, the Nineteenth Dynasty of Egypt. Son of Ramesses I and Sitre, he was the father of Ramesses II. As with all dates in Ancient Egypt, the actual dates of his reign are a little muddied. But historians think from 1294 BC to 1279 BC.

Eilethyia, goddess of childbirth, is Ares (Andras's) sister, along with Heba, cupbearer of the Olympics. That association actually, rings very true to me ...for Andras once told me that one continues to strive, always....it goes until you become the best of the best ...which is exactly what the spirit of the original Olympics was all about. It is certainly the ideal He holds.

Hephaestus, blacksmith of the Gods is a brother to Andras/Ares. Blacksmithing is a revered and manly art – wielding metal, shaping it into useful items, artistic items and weapons of war...Andras is an artist, pragmatic, and a warrior. The two are sympatico.

Andras is the Indomitable One. He's the strong arm and shield for those who are innocent, unable to protect themselves, like children. He protects children (and women) and woe to any who abuse a child and must then face His justice!

Andras is a living embodiment of the Philosophy of The Weapons:

All concentrated perception, distance, timing and technique with total dexterity, skill, ability and ART.

This defines how Andras creates, destroys, how He is in all of His endeavours.

Add to all THAT ...He's a true Artist. Meaning He'll have delightful ways to accomplish His victories Artfully.

Beautifully. Exquisitely. With ultimate sweet poetic justice.

He exemplifies the words of Satan:

"Delight in what you create; delight in what you destroy."

And He does so ...with delight.

Addendum

So...this is a bit of an after thought ...it occurred to me that somebody new would be wondering how do I behave when trying to communicate to one of Satan's Demons? What should I expect? HOW do I communicate to one of them?

The Demons I've been fortunate to meet - and I've met a great many of them in the course of my work for Satan – all have different personalities just as one might expect - some came in very soothing and warm, some cool and aloof who gave me just what I needed to know and no more, others blasted in so powerfully from the get go it was pretty darned intimidating, though that wasn't their intent. In fact, they will actually tone their presence down for us so they don't overwhelm us. These are extremely powerful entities. Keep it in mind and be POLITE.

If it's your first time trying to talk to one of Satan's Demons, go through Satan. You don't just show up at the doorstep of someone you haven't met – you get a mutual friend to introduce you. Its like that. Show respect. It's like meeting any new person who outranks you: mind your manners. Remember, they're people. How do you talk to another person? Like they're a person. But mind your manners. This isn't some 'dude' from the 'hood'. You want to build a friendship, not insult them inadvertently by acting a fool.

All of Satan's Demons will be courteous to you, if you are respectful and courteous to them. If you aren't, they'll likely simply turn about and leave. They don't have time for petty childish behaviour. You aren't doing them any favours asking for their presence/attention, they're doing you the favour, so be mindful.

I personally tend not to be asking my Guardians to do much of anything for me. I handle my own stuff. That said though, one exception is when I have to fly somewhere. If I have to fly, I always ask one of my Guardians to accompany me.

Sorath is the one who chooses to accompany me on the planes and in the airports. He's just absolutely amazing when it comes to arranging things, helping me keep to schedules, make connections, find my way to the next gate, things like that. He's fantastic! I feel really safe knowing He's with me and He's made His presence at those times unmistakable.

That's usually how it is. The Demons you're going to be most in touch with and closest to will be your Guardians. Most people have one Demon Guardian, some – if they need the extra protection will have two.

The next God/Demon after your Guardian you'll have the most contact with would be Satan. Assuming you are working to cultivate a relationship, that is. This goes for your Guardian as well. Just because you dedicated to Satan doesn't mean anything if you don't do your share of the work. Its work, time and effort to build solid relationships. Who would you prefer? Someone who only comes around you when they want you to do something for them ...or someone who wants you for yourself? Who loves you for YOU, not what you can do for them? Satan and His Demons are people too.

Satan probably won't be as available as your Guardian though, simply because He's got a lot of people asking Him for His time and responsibilities. He therefore delegates, which is one reason we have Guardians. That said, you can still talk to Him. He'll hear you and answer in His own way and time.

Try to keep open for synchronicities, coincidences ...pay attention. Be present.

Another reason we have certain Guardians is that for some of us, we've had the same Demon friends looking out for us across our other lifetimes. In those instances, we already have an established relationship and so of course they'll choose (again) to be our Guardian.

Hail to Andras!

The Indomitable One!
